Abbotsford House, born from the imagination of Sir Walter Scott. Ten years in the making, transforming a small farmhouse into the building we see today. Scott was an avid collector of all things, from books to weapons to whatever antiquity sparked his imagination. Characters and items from his stories fill the house and gardens. Many items of historical importance lie on display in what became a living museum.
