STRONG CORE [ Isometric Abs Workout - no equipment ]

These isometric core and abs exercises are great to build your core stability and strength. Improving your core strength and stability is key for your core to work properly during heavy lifts and your workouts in general. So let's get strong! The goal of isometric exercises is not the "burn" you would expect, but you will feel your muscles get increasingly exhausted with every exercise. Our main goal is to engage the muscles with proper form while doing each exercise consciously. So hold those isometrics with purpose! Before we start, I want to remind you to breathe when holding the contraction. There is one simple rule for holds where we lower our legs: the more you lower your leg, the harder it gets! Pay attention to your lower back having contact with the mat at all times. So if your lower back lifts from the ground, lift your legs a bit higher and make sure you brace your core! Every plank exercise can be performed on the knees if needed. If you feel your lower back, feel free to work on your knees and brace that core!
