One of my personal favorite games uses the term “Achievement Unlocked.” In video gaming-speak, an achievement, also sometimes known as a trophy, badge, award, stamp, medal or challenge, is a meta-goal defined outside of a game's parameters. Some people enjoy playing the games just to unlock these achievements. In the band world, I guess that an “unlocked achievement” could be learning dynamics, or 16th note runs, or anything that presents a challenge to the player.
