Trying To Set A New 176oz Alvino's 28-Inch Pizza Challenge Record w/

American pro eaters Randy Santel and ‪@KatinaEatsKilos‬ teamed up versus Alvino's 176oz $90 28" Pizza Challenge at Alvino's Pizza in Dyersburg, Tennessee which is northeast of Memphis, TN!! Before heading to my family's house in the St Louis, Missouri area to celebrate Thanksgiving, Katina and I headed to Memphis, Tennessee for the weekend to have fun on Beale Street, see some friends, and also attempt two huge and delicious food challenges. On the way to Memphis, we stopped in Dyersburg, TN so we could team up and attempt the giant 28" Pizza Challenge at Alvino's Pizza which had only been beaten by two teams of professional eaters. Teams of two people must choose three toppings for their pizza and at least two of those toppings must be meats. We ordered hamburger, Canadian bacon, and for some reason, ‪@KatinaEatsKilos‬ wanted spinach as our third topping. The huge 28" diameter pizza weighs 11lbs / 5kg / 176oz total and consists of 2.5lbs of Alvino's pizza dough, 3-3.5lbs of mozzarella cheese, some sauce, and then 1.5lbs of each topping chosen. There was so much spinach!! There is a 45 minute time limit to finish not only the massive pizza, but also a 2-liter bottle of soda. To be healthy, we ordered Diet Coke and split that. Our friends ‪@TheHealeyum‬ and Kyle were the first team to win, and then our friends ‪@Beardmeatsfood‬ and ‪@DaGarbageDisposal‬ set a new record by finishing everything in 19:58. Just for fun, we were trying to beat that time, but knew we had 45 minutes to eat it all so we could win our $90 pizza free plus two $50 gift certificates to come back and use later, along with sweet t-shirts and spots on Alvino's Wall of Fame.
