To do this he covered the hill with earth and build a 25-meter high monument where his stone coffin was placed. In 2007 Professor Ehud Netzer from the Hebrew University unearthed the remains of the royal tomb and his team designed a model of the mausoleum at the site. Another amazing find was the private theater on the side of the mountain, and the decorated chamber right above it, We will enter the palace via the original passage up the royal staircase and tour the palace amenities: The Bathhouse, the garden, and the synagogue.
