Parliamentary Forum at HLPF2020—The Big Reset: Learning from COVID-19 to fast track the SDGs

Watch the video of the virtual Parliamentary Forum at the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), organized by the IPU on 15 July 2020. The Forum looked at lessons learnt from the pandemic. The pandemic has affected progress towards achieving the SDGs, which was already uneven with growing inequality, rapid climate change and economic hardship on the rise. However, the pandemic also provides an opportunity to rethink the approach to achieving the overarching objectives of the SDGs: eliminating poverty, fostering just societies and ensuring the planet’s sustainability.
