Nationalism Explained!!!

In this video I’ll answer the essential question “how can a understanding of nationalism help us understand today?” To support my answer I used three different evidence, the crimean war, the confederation of Canada and the story of Louis Riel. Continuity and change of nationalism: the definition of nationalism stayed the same but the symbol of nationalism had changed overtime, instead of having wars or division between the countries, it’s now more friendly and less aggressive than before, like the Russian military parade, it’s a way of the Russian demonstrating their nationalism and military power, and in Canada we have our own flag, foods and sports. My answer to the question is: throughout history many events were caused by nationalism, and many of those events still effect us today. so by understanding what nationalism is will help you to understand what happened in the past and the reasons why we think those events were worth remembering or celebrating today.
