BCIs: From Thought To Action

In recent history, the topic of neuromuscular disease has gained traction, as our technology advances to find means to treat issues such as paralysis. In this video, we tackle a specific technology: BCIs (Brain Computer Interfaces). We explain what they are, how they work, as well as their current applications through various examples. We then consider its future implications, and potential barriers before they are available to everyone. This video was made by McMaster University students Kabir Gogia, Yasmin Ahmed, Leen Jundi, and Taha Khan in collaboration with the Demystifying Medicine McMaster Program. All audio and clips used in this video are copyright free. This video is provided for general and educational information only.
