Here are ten things I wish I knew before moving to Germany. The first part will be more in general directed specifically to Germany, and the end part will be more personal experience just moving out of the country. Im in no way trying to say all Germans don't know how to speak English, I just had quite a few bad experiences personally. I'm sure a lot of Germans know English:) Highlights: 00:36 - 1. Quiet Hours 02:25 - 2. Always bring your own bags 03:27 - 3. Water In restaurants are very expensive 04:23 - 4. Many don't know/speak English 05:21 - 5. Paperwork 07:38 - 6. Recycling 09:08 - 7. Water and electricity is so expensive 10:21 - 8. Emotional roller coaster 11:42 - 9. Never in my comfort zone 12:48 - 10. Get more tired than usual mentally A little back story. I was born and grew up in Norway, got married to my Husband from Germany last year. We decided to start our new life together here, and I have now lived in Germany for ca. 8 months. I have learned so much new, and are really happy here in Germany. It's not crazy different from Norway, but I have noticed quite a few which I'm sharing in this video.
