Russia has signed a deal for a permanent naval base on the Black Sea coast of the breakaway Georgian region of Abkhazia. The Abkhaz leader has confirmed the signing of the agreement - a day after he met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in nearby Sochi.
