I lost my father suddenly when I was twelve years old, he was everything to me. And even now, 21 years later, I still cry when I remember him, and I don’t think that will ever change. These songs are about the experience of losing someone close to you – whether it be a parent, sibling, child, or friend. These songs convey the deep sense of missing someone who was so intertwined with your life that it feels impossible to go on without them. They explore the hardship and confusion that come with losing a loved one, and the heartbreak that follows. We unfortunately have to go through times of grief and if you are in such a time of your life right now, then I hope that these songs can help you to get through it. I hope you’ll find some healing through this music compilation and that you'll have people around you who can offer support, lend a listening ear, and pray for you. It's okay to feel the way you do.
