Nuclear energy is among the safest power sources, with modern reactors designed to prevent disasters like Chernobyl, Fukushima, or Three Mile Island. Cooled, stored in secure casks, and often recycled, it’s less hazardous than solar’s persistent toxic waste, which is expected to be 75 times greater by 2050. In 2024 he was amongst the strongest voices calling for nuclear energy in Australia and was a leading critic of the ‘Integrated System Plan’ (or ISP): Australia’s blue-print for a transition to an energy system dominated by wind and solar.
