Monitor and log your heart rate to Cloud with Pulse Sensor, Raspberry Pi and Arduino | Part 2

Here, we make a DIY Heart Rate Monitor using a Pulse Sensor and interface it with an Arduino + Raspberry Pi, which detects heartbeats in beats per minute (BPM) and logs it on Cloud (Thingspeak). The sensor is quite simple and it takes little effort to set it up. All you need to do is to gently place your fingertip onto the sensor. With this Heartbeat monitoring device, you can measure the heartbeat of a person using Raspberry pi and display it as a graph on the screen. You can use ESP, Raspberry Pi, etc. Since Raspberry Pi cannot directly take in analog values, we're using Arduino as the packaged sensor and the Raspberry Pi, solely for streaming to the internet. As an alternative to Arduino, you can also use an Analog-to-Digital module (like the MCP3008) to directly interface with the pulse sensor module. Along with the components required for the heart rate monitor, that is, the Arduino, jumpers, and a Pulse sensor module, you will also need a Raspberry Pi and a working internet connection.
