Their duo, “Young Team” recorded five weird tracks for their demo EP that comprise post-punk and experimental vibes and angry, pissed off, dark spoken word vocals, tackling modern world problems and society issues, that we can all nod our heads to. When I first heard it, I wondered what planet they came from. I really like putting out first songs bands write, there is always something magical in it. I’ts a special one for everyone who feels alien in their own life. Or, to quote some of Adams lyrics: I guess I just cannot compete with these Lefty internet celebrities Rather keep my face anonymous Sometimes ego gets the best of us and this is, what "Joe" says: "Listening to Young Team makes me feel like I'm back pukin up Dragon Stout and Buckfast on the Kilburn High Road while some Scottish guy who looks like a P.E Teacher who weeekends as an Elvis impersonator points at what I've puked up and declares it 'street treacle'. There's a bad drunk to the off kilter post-punk march of the drums and a rockabilly-gone-treacle-ness to the way the guitar and synths whirl and pit, while some Scottish guy chants in the near distance. Repeating himself without repeating himself like some unwelcome guy lingering outside a pub. But it's not all k-holes and veiled threats. Theres lyrical folkish storytelling and patter to accompany - tributes to friends and places passed, the visceral summoned perspective of a teen taking too many shit pills after reading too many shit poems in a GCSE anthology and an ode to sucking milk from a pig's teat. Yeah pig's milk. If you like unwell sounding rock n roll played at the wrong speed on the wrong instruments and you've not a got a scottish friend of your own to tell your their inappropriate thoughts this one's for you and if you do have a scottish mate as above described give it it to them, oh sweet relief!" - - - I do not own the rights to the content.
