Restoring My £1700 Range Rover L322 | Grilles & Lights

In this episode, we tackle a bunch of satisfying cosmetic jobs on the L322 Range Rover to bring it closer to its original look. The cloudy headlights were letting the whole front end down, so I went through a full wet-sand and buff process, finishing with 3M clear coat wipes. It's not perfect – the wipes left a few streaks – but the improvement is night and day. If it doesn’t last, we’ll go again or upgrade the lenses entirely. We also swap out the aftermarket black grille and side vents for factory originals – much better quality and in keeping with the car’s spec. The process is simple but super satisfying when they click into place. While we're at it, I show a couple of recent changes since the Anglesey trip, including new tailgate struts, a new battery (not AGM, but high CCA), and a run of Cataclean + STP injector cleaner to help with some EGR and injector codes. We’ve also had the windscreen replaced – in the middle of a biblical downpour! That job’s mostly sorted, but I’ll be revisiting the wiper heating element connections and trim shortly.
