Such banks can safekeep your securities in any amounts, both in physical and in electronic form. In addition to simply keeping the securities, custodian banks offer various financial services. Such as account administration, accounting, collection and distribution of interest payments and dividends, tax support and foreign exchange assistance. For such services they charge custodian fees.
