11-year-old Kayla Cooley Herndon has been bullied since age 4, because of the unusual skin colorations she has due to vitiligo. She shares her perspective on how she came to realize that self respect is the key to being treated respectfully by others. At the same time, she understood that pain is often the root of bullying, so if we can "flip the script" by showing kindness to a bully, then we just might make the world a better place. A young woman with Vitiligo trying to make a positive impact on society. Teaching everyone to love themselves no matter the circumstance. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
