If the supposed date of Astro Battle is indeed 1979, they would've beat Atari to the home market, so I don't think that's to be trusted. In addition, though -- Atari took the extra effort to actually license the Space Invaders name, and create the best home version they could with a ton of variations and possibilities. This little clone is space invaders-ish. Only 4 rows of aliens, but they move rather quickly. I just set it to the hardest difficulty to see how I'd do, and think it went pretty well. When you get in a pinch, just shoot - as you have a decent chance of knocking out enemy shots with your own shot. That's the only way I survived. Eventually, though, there is just no time to think and way too many shots being rained down on you. I do like the explosion and crazy fire animation when your tank is destroyed - that's pretty cool. 3,880pts (PRO)
