Strategies I've found success using on Facebook Marketplace / any online marketplace. Outline: "What questions would I have?" Pictures Pictures to Include: Establishing Picture Functional Picture Notable Issues Picture(s) Taking Pictures: Pay attention to lighting / framing (clear background) Use step back / zoom in trick Take pictures in landscape, not portrait (horizontal, not vertical) Edit your pictures to catch buyers' eyes Title Search for items similar to yours, use common terms Include size - height, dimensions, screen size, whatever applicable Description List everything included in your listing. All cords, components, etc. Include brands if applicable (Samsung, IKEA, etc.) Include dimensions (i.e. 10" x 15" x "25") Issues with Your Item Include picture of any visible issues Briefly describe any relevant issues with your item Rules of the Road - Keep Safe and Watch for Scams NEVER give your phone # - if they are messaging you, they don't need it "No, I prefer to keep communications via facebook" Don't give your full address until they're actually coming Common scam where you'll very quickly receive a message about your listing. Usually they'll ask for your phone # (don't give it to them) and location.
