There’s still a lot of snow in the backcountry so we hiked as far as we could go in the Eastern Sierra Nevada and pitched a tent under some beautiful peaks in John Muir Wilderness. With snowy trails and chilly overnight temperatures, right now is the best time of year to go backpacking - less people and less bugs!
