This is a detailed tutorial the beautiful half-brioche stitch. It is sadly not a reversible pattern but has two distinctly different sides. It's a very simple 2 rows repeat that doesn't even need a preparation row (unlike the regular brioche stitch). Cast on an even number of stitches Row 1 (WS): SL1, yo, k1 Row 2 (RS): p1, k2tog Repeat these two rows over and over again until you reached the desired length. Pay attention that you start on the wrong side and you will only get the typical brioche rib pattern on the right side. Some tutorials will call the k2tog in the second row a "brioche knit" (brk). That's because you always knit together the yarnover of the previous row with the stitch you slipped. So, you will find also "p1, brk1" as the repeat for the right side.
