Day 7 of my solo West Highland Way hike — and it nearly broke me. From climbing the brutal Devil’s Staircase to dodging thunderstorms, flooded streams, midges, and full campsites, this was the toughest day yet. I hiked over 13 miles from Kingshouse through Kinlochleven (or should I say KLL) to finally find a secluded wild camp spot with just sheep for company near the ruined house at Tigh-na-sleubhaich.
