Unboxing the NEW MarGe Models Volvo FH16 750's in 6x2 and 4x2. Both models arrive in standard MarGe black boxing with clear viewing window to the front. Inside you find the FH16 along with instructional sheet with a variety of country specific European registrations. Both are painted not quite black but a very glossy metallic anthracite. Plenty of detail inside and out with both sharing an identical cab. It is at the back where both differ, with the obvious extra axle on the 6x2 which steers with the front via a very simple but clever mechanism underneath. Unique to the 4x2 are metal side fairings which run the distance between both axles. The cab itself is full metal including both opening doors and wind deflectors. Inside there are 2 seats with armrests, top and bottom consoles and a rest area behind. I have to add the both pieces are equally impressive in their detail, especially the attention given to the lighting. No shortcuts taken with a mixture of clear and coloured lenses as appropriate. Coupling the Nooteboom trailer is easy as is removing it with air and electrical lines extending from the cab. Tilting the cab forward is the party piece, revealing the 750 hp V8 underneath. The engine is almost all plastic with many easily identifiable components including the main engine block and cooling. With the cab tilted on there 4x2, the weight shift is noticeable so handle with care to avoid the cab slapping backwards and damaging the clip. Overall a very impressive, well made and very well finished pieces costing 89 and 94 euro mark. To add a trailer will cost an additional 84 euros and once combine both look incredible.
