Der Posener Aufstand (Großpolnische Aufstand) vom 27. Dezember 1918 bis zum 16. Februar 1919 war ein militärischer Aufstand von Polen in der preußischen Provinz Posen (Groß Polen). Diese kämpften für eine Eingliederung der Provinz und damit der Region Großpolen in den nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg wiedererstandenen polnischen Staat. Der Aufstand endete mit einem militärischen und politischen polnischen Sieg. Der Hauptteil der bisherigen Provinz wurde noch vor Inkrafttreten der Bestimmungen des Versailler Vertrages faktisch vom Deutschen Reich abgetrennt. ======================= The Greater Poland Uprising of 1918--1919 was a military insurrection of Poles in the German-occupied Greater Poland region (Provinz Posen) against the German Empire. The victorious uprising had a significant effect on the Treaty of Versailles, which granted the reconstituted Second Republic of Poland the areas won by the insurgents, at the cost of German territory.
