The Story of Bhai Kanhaiya Singh | Sikh Animation Story When this great saint shared precious water to help heal the wounded enemy, word got to Guru Gobind Singh. Guru ji asked him why he was doing this and Bhai Sahib replied, "When I look at someone all I see in them is your face. I see God in all humankind. How can I not serve them? I only serve you my Guru." Guru Gobind Singh was very happy with him, gave him herbs to additionally heal the injured. Then Guru Sahib announced to the sangat that everyone should strive to learn the meaning of Gurbani as he had. Then blessed him to create an order of Sikhs that is now known as the 'Seva Panthis' who dedicate themselves to serving others. This story is reminiscent of the mission of the Red Cross and speaks to the essence of Sikh values: While we do believe in standing up to the bully the fundamental purpose is service to humanity.
