Komatsu D475A-8 Large Dozer: Arrival at the workshop in Estonia

The D475A-8 is the largest #Komatsu bulldozer in production. The first unit is ready for the job - Enefit Kaevandused (Eesti Energia group) (Estonia). The 113 tonnes machine is now at the Narva quarry. The delivery ended with a final transportation of 225 km accross Estonia on an exceptional truck. During the handover ceremony, the D475A-8 Large Bulldozer received the name of the most famous Estonian Sumo called "Baruto". From the time of launch, the D475-8 has spent 70% of its duty time ripping and dozing in the oil shale layer, and the remaining 30% cleaning and preparing the ground for walking dragline excavators to remove the limestone overburden.
