Commander, Task Force (CTF) 69 is one of the six task forces that are assigned to U.S. 6th Fleet (C6F). This year, C6F celebrates a significant milestone. Established February 12, 1950 - 2020 marks the 70th anniversary. There are more than 100 countries and more than 30 percent of the world's landmass in our area of operation. That includes 67 percent of the world's coastline stretching from the North Pole to Antarctica. The U.S. 6th Fleet team brings together a robust organization to handle operations, intelligence, logistics, policy, resources, strategy, future operations, and personnel, which harvests and represents the strength of the nation's diversity. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied, and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
