Remarks by Jason Momoa (Actor and Ocean Activist) at the High-level meeting to review progress made in addressing the priorities of SIDS through the implementation of the Accelerated Modalities of Action (SAMOA) Pathway. Mr. Momoa is well known for his role as Aquaman. The General Assembly will hold a one-day high level review of the progress made in addressing the priorities of small island developing States (SIDS) through the implementation of the SAMOA Pathway. The high level review will result in "a concise action oriented and inter-governmentally agreed political declaration". Multi-stakeholder Roundtable I: Progress, Gaps and Challenges. The theme of this roundtable is ‘Progress, Gaps, and Challenges’. Participants are invited to give insights on the implementation of the SAMOA Pathway thus far, and the hindrances that they have faced. Discussion here will include topics such as climate change, access to finance, and United Nations Development System Reform.  Learn more: http://webtv.un.org/meetings-events/w...
