This video looks at what to look for when buying a working spaniel puppy. It is imperative that you do a thorough check into the background of the dog that you are looking to buy. I have spoken about the kennel club rules being there to protect the dogs that are being bred from, but it's more than possible to get a fantastic dog without it being kennel club registered!- but as I relay in the video you do need to be careful that the mating is being done for the correct reasons. Getting a mixed breed dog can still be a fantastic dog to work with so please don't rule this out.
