How To Check Automower Boundary Wire Signal Strength (No Loop Error Video 4: Loop Sensor Values)

Welcome to video 4 in our series of no loop error videos. In this video we talk about the no loop errors that occur while the LED indicator in the charging station is solid green or solid blue. Both the solid blue and solid green LED indicate that power is making it's way the entire way around the boundary loop and back to the charging station, so the mower should be receiving the signal and be able to work. But there are scenarios where even though the boundary wire is emitting a signal, the mower can be out of range and not receive it or there is something blocking or interfering with the signal. You could even see an "outside working area" error on your Husqvarna Automower while the mower is sitting smack dab in the middle of it's working area with a solid green LED on the station. What causes the issue in these scenarios is that the mower gets too far away from the boundary wire or an island and can not pick up the signal. As soon as the mower does not sense the signal it will give a no loop error. So how do you check to see if the mower is too far from the boundary wire? Checking the signal strength measured by the front and rear loop sensors of the Automower is the best way to see if your Automower's issue is indeed cause by a weak signal. This can be done by holding down the "0" button on the keypad and entering the quick menu. In the quick menu, select "INFO" and then "LOOP" to bring up the live readings from your loop sensors. The numbers for the loop sensor values will increase as the mower gets closer to a boundary wire, and decrease as it gets further away from the boundary. Once the signal strength gets down to 50 or less the mower will stop because the signal is too weak.
