Here's a guide on how to install 9-inch headlights with DRL (Daytime Running Lights) and turn signals on your Jeep Wrangler JL/JLU or Gladiator: https://www.sunpie.co/products/9-inch... https://www.sunpie.co/products/9-led-... https://www.sunpie.co/collections/jee... Tools and Materials: 9-inch headlights with DRL and turn signals Drill Screwdrivers Wrenches Wire Wire connectors (crimp connectors or butt connectors) Electrical tape Steps: 1,Park your Jeep on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and turn off the engine. 2,Open the hood and locate the stock headlights. 3,Using a screwdriver, remove the mounting screws securing the stock headlights. 4,Carefully detach the stock headlights from the vehicle. 5,Position the new 9-inch headlights in the designated location. 6,Secure the new headlights using the provided screws and tighten them with a screwdriver. 7,Connect the wires for the DRL and turn signals. Two situations for connecting DRL and turn signals: Situation A: Without side fender lights (The fog lights' DRL (Daytime Running Lights) and turn signals can also be connected to the side fender lights' DRL and turn signals, the wiring is the same.) (1). Connecting DRL: Connect the positive wire of the DRL to a 12V power source on the vehicle. Connect the negative wire of the DRL to the vehicle's ground wire. Connect the wires to your Jeep's electrical system: * *Using the fuse box:* Identify an empty slot in the fuse box that matches the amperage requirement of your DRLs. Use wire connectors to connect your DRL positive wire to this slot and a separate connector for the negative wire to a ground point on the chassis. *Direct wire connection:* Use wire strippers to expose bare wire on your DRL and Jeep's harness wires. Securely connect the DRL positive wire to the Jeep's 12V power source and the negative wire to a ground point using crimp connectors or butt connectors. Wrap all connections thoroughly with electrical tape to prevent shorts. (2). Connecting turn signals: Connect the positive wire of the turn signal to the turn signal power wire of the vehicle. Connect the negative wire of the turn signal to the vehicle's ground wire. These will likely match color-coded wires on your Jeep's harness for left and right turn signals. Situation B: With side fender lights (The fog lights' DRL (Daytime Running Lights) and turn signals can also be connected to the side fender lights' DRL and turn signals, the wiring is the same.) (1). Connecting DRL: Connect the positive wire of the DRL to the DRL power wire of the side fender lights. (2). Connecting turn signals: Connect the positive wire of the turn signal to the turn signal power wire of the side fender lights. *Use a wrench to remove the bolts that secure the fender to the vehicle. *Carefully remove the fender from the vehicle. *Locate the wiring connector for the side fender light. *Identify the yellow wire for the turn signal and the white wire for the daytime running light. *Use a wire tap to connect the yellow wire from your headlight to the *yellow wire for the side fender light. *Use a wire tap to connect the white wire from your headlight to the white wire for the side fender light. *Reinstall the fender and secure it with the bolts. *Test the turn signals and daytime running lights to make sure they are working properly. 8,Wrap all electrical connections with electrical tape. This is crucial to prevent water damage and potential short circuits. 9,Close the hood, start the engine, and test the headlights, DRLs, and turn signals. Ensure everything functions properly. Disclaimer: If you're unfamiliar with your Jeep's electrical system, it's highly advisable to seek professional help for installation. This ensures proper connection and avoids potential electrical problems.
