Truma Combi Heating controls in an RV - how they work.

This is the Truma Combi Heating controls in my 2006 Hymer B514 but similar controls have been used for many years and continue to be so. There are two dials, the dial on the left represents the power - either gas or electric. Please remember that the electric must come from shore power! Electric power is available in 900W or 1,800W and can be combined with gas when greater power is needed - for example coming into the van on a particularly cold day. The right hand dial is the selection switch - either hot water or hot water and heating or just heating. Within that dial is a second dial whereby we can adjust the temperature in the motorhome. This is indicated by numbers rather than degrees as the temperature will depend on the ambient outside temperature. I live in a motorhome full time and travel around Europe in it.
