10 min Solder Fume Extractor Build

A quick and dirty 10 minute build of a solder fume extractor. This thing will outcompete all similar box-style fume extractors in terms of suction, sound and general filter extraction. The secret is the Noctua 140mm Industrial fan and the use of real 10mm thick Hakko filters. You can try to get the generic all purpose rolls if you want to save money but do your research and make sure they have some thickness to them. Otherwise, you're just using a fan to move the flux fumes elsewhere in the room. A parts list of all the things I used (Affiliated links): Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-3000 PWM: https://amzn.to/3JG2EIR Hakko filters: https://amzn.to/3I0QPLZ I paid $20. Fan grills: https://amzn.to/3x0ZTtU Rear fan grill: https://amzn.to/3lhJkao 1/4 to 3/8 C Stand Adapter: https://amzn.to/3I0bIXv Loads of people make these so find the cheapest ones. Magic Arm (small): https://amzn.to/3lfEGd2 Gaffing tape: https://amzn.to/3X4eAqJ M4 26mm screws and nuts And I got the recommendation for the fan used here from Schematix's video here:    • Cordless Solder Fume eXtractor ll Awe...   If you want to build a proper case for this thing, definitely check out his vid. 0:00 - Intro and Parts List 2:24 - Build 3:35 - Test
