Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone. 2. Select the + symbol in the top right of the Shortcuts app. 3. Select Add Action and then select Scripting. 4. Select Open App. 5. From here select Choose, then find the app you want the new icon to open. In my example we opened Instagram. 6. Select Next in the top right. 7. Name your new icon and then select done. This can be the name of the app you want to open. 8. Now find the shortcut you just created and select the 3 dots in the right corner of the shortcut. 9. This should open the shortcut we just made. Select the 3 dots in the top right just under Done. 10. On the shortcut details page select Add to Home Screen. 11. Select the icon to the left of the icon name. Select the location of your custom icon image. 12. Find and open the new custom icon image and select Choose. 13. Select Add in the top right. 14. Go back to your Home Screen.
