Cortina's Longest Ski Slope

This is the longest ski slope in Cortina d’Ampezzo, in the Italian Dolomites. The video was shot on Monday 20th Dec 2021 at around 10:30 am. We are following Louise, Inspired ITALY ski leader from the start of the Tofana Bus lift at an altitude of 2828 m. The total drop is 1,604m and finishes in Cortina d’Ampezzo at 1,224m ASL. Here we are stitching together slopes 46, 51, 43, and 44 being red, black and blue. The Ra Valles station which gives access to the top of the Tofana system is at 2470 m. The Col Druscié A slope contributed to making Cortina d’Ampezzo famous on the world scene during the 1956 Olympics. The lower slopes were used in the 1981 James Bond film, 'For Your Eyes Only' in which Roger Moore jumped off the slope onto the 1956 Olympic bobsleigh run chased by two men riding motorbikes. One of the strong points of the Tofana ski area lies in the quality of its slopes. Snow cat operators groom the slopes every night, providing the skier with the chance to enjoy an exciting ski ride on two of the most challenging and spectacular slopes in Cortina.
