But you probably know us as the Interview Guys! MIKE Jeff and I have been talking to our students over the last few months in order to get a sense of what you wanted to see in our next video, and the response was overwhelming. JEFF It seems that everyone was looking for a quick guide to answering Behavioral Questions, so today, we thought we'd give you our step-by-step guide for answer these tough questions. MIKE The first thing you want to do his frame your answer around a "success story", which is a story from your past that demonstrates you've been successful in a related situation. JEFF Your success story should be an example from your previous work experience. If you are new to the workforce and don't have much experience, try using a success story from your academics, athletics, charitable work, or other similar experiences. MIKE The second step is to highlight a strength or ability in your answer that you know that the company has a lot of value in. Mike and I like to call this our "tailoring method." JEFF The tailoring method states that you will tailor your entire interview, including all of your answers to the questions you are asked, to the company you are interviewing with. MIKE Now you can't just say you have the strength or ability without providing some proof. In other words, make sure you have specific examples that demonstrate that you possess that strength.
