How I would learn Italian (if I could start over)

I learned Italian in 50 days to surprise my Italian girlfriend for her Birthday. However, looking back there are plenty of things I would have done differently. Resources I mentioned: Language Transfer (free App) Preply for Tutoring (This is an affiliate link that gives you a 50% discount on the first lesson): http://tracking.preply.com/SHd5 Anki (flashcard software) for studying vocabulary The top 100 words (also known as the Tower Method) by State of Mind Italy Made Easy (YouTube channel & Podcast) by Manu Venditti Other resources that might be valuable: Audiobooks by Paul Reiser (if you have more time and want to use the language for traveling. They are great for remembering, but a bit more touristic focused) There also are some opportunities online to get free language lessons in form of a tandem. Meaning, you teach 1 hour of your native language, and the other person teaches one hour of their native language (say Italian). I prefered Preply, mainly as it's aster, more efficient, super fairly priced for a private lesson, and also as I was pretty exhausted after 1 hour of Italian lesson. But still, if budget if a problem, this is a nice way to bridge that and still get lots of practice early on.
