We’ve been using Griffin cases for years and they’re generally quite tough. In fact, our first review was with a Griffin iPad case! The Griffin Survivor Endurance is a decent case and an upgrade from previous cases while the Griffin Survivor Strong is a mediocre case. If we had to pick, we’d go with the Survivor Endurance over the Griffin Survivor Strong. The cases we've shown in this video are for the iPhone X/XS BUT what we say will be relevant for the iPhone XR. The only thing we'll add with the iPhone XR is bulkier so you'll need to get a case that handles better. You won't go wrong with either the Strong or Endurance from that perspective. In fact, the build quality is so good that Griffin Survivor Strong looks tougher than Griffin Survivor Endurance. Which Griffin Survivor Strong isn’t since Griffin Survivor Endurance is drop rated to 10ft/3m while Griffin Survivor Strong is 7ft/2.1m. The gummy texture on the back is the most standout feature for me which I wish a lot of case companies use on their cases. Everything else on Griffin Survivor Strong has been done before by other companies. Get the Black version to avoid any rainbowing artifacts or don’t get it at all due to the buttons being a pain to use. 00:04:08 - Griffin Survivor Endurance - (3.7/5) Pros -Great texture -Better build quality than Griffin Survivor Strong Cons -Buttons are hard to use Griffin Survivor Endurance is a great case. I am really surprised I only reviewed Griffin Survivor Endurance just now, It is so great that it can even be on my top 10 list if the buttons were decent. Everything fits together incredibly well as nothing looks like itʼs “leaking out” like on the Griffin Survivor Strong. The different layers of the case fuse together quite well. The textures of the edge of the case, on the other hand, is top notch as the matte finish provides a decent amount of grip without resorting to the “gummy” feeling of normal clear TPU. I wish Griffin used this texture more on the back of Griffin Survivor Endurance and I really wish all cases had this type of finish on it. It is such a shame however that a great build quality and texture like this is hampered by harder to use buttons.
