Tune it down people! Tune it down. This was always something that frustrated me when I was learning guitar in the '80s. You would strum the chords, but something just didn't sound quite right. The secret was the mixing of the two guitars playing together so you are hearing two variations of chords playing at the same time, creating new textures. There are probably more where they played this way (John Fogerty tuned down a full step with Tom Fogerty playing standard tuning), please advise if you know of any others. Love the sound - yeah I could have played it better, but just wanted to get it on the record as nobody seems to call this out on other youtube demos of these songs that you see.
