ঝালকাঠির সুগন্ধা নদীতে এমভি অভিযান-১০ লঞ্চে অগ্নিকাণ্ডের ঘটনা ঘটে গত ২৪ ডিসেম্বর রাত আড়াইটার দিকে। এ খবর জানার পর রাত ৩টার দিকে নিজেদের ট্রলার নিয়ে কনকনে শীত ও ঘন কুয়াশা উপেক্ষা করে অগ্নিদগ্ধদের উদ্ধারের আপ্রাণ চেষ্টা করেন ওই নদীতে পারাপারে নিয়োজিত ৭-৮ জন মাঝি। তাদের সঙ্গে যোগ দিয়েছিলেন স্থানীয় কয়েকজন যুবক ও জনপ্রতিনিধি। তারা নদী থেকে যাত্রীদের তুলে নিরাপদে পাড়ে পৌঁছে দিয়েছিলেন এবং অগ্নিদগ্ধদের হাসপাতালে পাঠানোর ব্যবস্থা করেছিলেন। মানুষের দুঃসময়ে পাশে থাকতে পেরে নিজেদের ধন্য মনে করছেন তারা। They came as angels during the MV Abhijan-10 launch fire A fire broke out in MV Abhiyan-10 launch on Sugandha river in Jhalakathi on December 24.
