How To FIX a MacBook Pro with Water Damage | Guided Step By Step DIY Repair Tutorial

This video will show in detail how to repair a MacBook Pro with Water Damage. This isn't a guaranteed fix but I've had a very good success rate with this method in the past. I'd say I've had good results repairing 7/10 Apple MacBook Pro Laptop computers with Water Damage in the past. Be patient and remember to let the computer sit for a few days after cleaning before attempting to power it back on. With a little patience and time you might just be successful in this water damage repair fix. Laptop shown in this video is a MacBook Pro (15-inch 2019) with i7 CPU and 16GB of RAM. This video was filmed on an iPhone XR in 2160p 4k at 60fps I have a MacBook Pro with water damage that won't boot, so I'm going to open it up and try to fix it. As you can see, the spill has gone inside the tray. I'm going to clean it up and see if it can be salvaged. First, I'll vacuum the inside with micro attachments to remove any dust. Then, I'll tackle the spill. Upon closer examination, I can see that the liquid has bubbled up in one spot, probably due to the heat. To clean it up, I'll use rubbing alcohol. Here's a quick pro tip: when cleaning the fan, use a plastic spudger or pry tool to hold it in place. This will prevent the delicate motor inside the fan from spinning around in different directions. I'm going to use 50% rubbing alcohol to clean different parts of the motherboard. Once it's clean, I'll let the computer dry overnight and see if it has an effect. To clean off the spill, I've wet a paper towel just enough so that it's not dripping but wet enough to do a good cleaning. I'll apply a little pressure and try to get as much of it off as possible. As you can see, it's working because it's coming off onto the paper towel nicely. Thanks for watching and please feel free to like and subscribe if you found value in this video.
