Microsoft Project Server Training - Creating a Major Milestone Report with Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Project Server captures a vast amount of information related to your project schedule and underlying data. Sometimes, however, presenting that information is a bit challenging. Often we want to capture data from Microsoft Project Server and manipulate it in an easy-to-read report that provide a clear picture of your projects milestones status. Actually, once you learn how to leverage the OData feeds and use Enterprise Custom Fields it's not very difficult. In this video, we will walk through the steps of creating a Major Milestone Report that shows the status of several milestones across projects. We will start by creating the necessary Enterprise Custom Fields in Microsoft Project Server. Next we will show how to assign the appropriate values in our project using Microsoft Project Professional, followed by publishing our project. Then we will create the actual report using Microsoft Excel.
