The show surprised me on so many levels, aesthetically, audiovisually, regarding acting and how true they stayed to Dream's flawed character. I remember being overwhelmed by the novels; the drawing was too messy for me. But I did love the universal concept, I loved the characters, the world, and of course Constantine. If you asked me "Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter?", my answer would be "The Sandman". My magical place to be.
