Advanced Compression Techniques - Pre-Compression

Pre-Compression uses a single compressor to allow you to have instantaneous attack times --but without all side-effects that come with a faster attack setting. This sounds impossible or contrary, but with a bit of know-how, you can achieve great results that other forms of compression cannot. This is a more natural sounding, more transparent style of compression that can level out a dynamic performance, but also retain transients and the natural contours of a performance. Quieter passages will be brought up to be more level with the rest of the performance -- minus the distortion, sibilance, dark, muffled or breathy detractions of heavy compression. Check it out!
