Quick tip on optimizing your Google Business Profile by adding additional categories. I see a lot of business owners missing out on this powerful GMB feature, so here’s an overview of how to use it and start ranking for more terms right away! Transcript: Hey, I want to give you a quick tip on an optimization opportunity that many businesses are missing out on: the additional categories field on your Google Business Profile. If you take a look at a business like this — this is our Rank Tracker, we're tracking rankings for this business — we can see that they have the primary category set as “personal injury attorney”. But if we look at a keyword like “personal injury attorney” here, we can see that that's the only category they have on their listing. In their Local Rank Tracker, we can see a lot of their competitors have these other categories added as well. You can think of every additional category as an additional optimization opportunity. Using something like the Whitespark Local Rank Tracker, you can see all the categories of your competitors and identify different category opportunities that you can add to your listing as well. It's super easy to add those listings. You just go to your Business Profile on Google, click “Edit Profile”, click “Add categories” and you can just add all of these different categories. You just select whichever ones make sense and you can get them from something like the Whitespark Local Rank Tracker, or using something like GMB Spy or GMB Anywhere.
