‘Subject: Audition Tape’ is an experimental short film showcasing the contrastic character that splits out of an individual just at the very moment when the camera starts rolling; even when it’s for a simple introduction. This is a story of an individual who has her own dreams and aspirations and hence wants to cater herself to the society and the film industry with whatever and however they want her to be. Therefore in this very tiresome process of faking, she loses her originality and her real self. Portraying herself as someone else in front of the camera, makes her loose temper through time and eventually she ends up bursting with anger and disappointment. But still finally, her mask slips off slowly and gradually reveals her truest self.
