Hey everyone, welcome back to a Week In Review! Where I look back at some of the biggest news stories of the week giving my sassy, uneducated and unwanted opinions. This week we are looking at news stories and celebrity news stories. [15-03-2019 to 22-03-2019] Including stories about #ShaneDawson #BrexitNews & #CardiB New Zealand - The Christchurch mosque shootings were two consecutive terrorist attacks at mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, during Friday Prayer on 15 March 2019. The attacks began at the Al Noor Mosque in the suburb of Riccarton at 1:40 pm, and continued at the Linwood Islamic Centre at about 1:55 pm. The attacks killed 50 people and injured 50 more. A 28-year-old Australian male white supremacist who was described in media reports as part of the "alt-right" was arrested and charged. The attacks have been linked to an increase in white supremacism and alt-right extremism globally observed since the mid-2010s. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern referred to the attacks as "one of New Zealand's darkest days". Politicians and world leaders condemned the attacks. It is the deadliest mass shooting in modern New Zealand history. A decline in water supply induced by climate change and an increase in both population and demand for the resource may lead to shortages, unless drastic efficiency goals are met. Cyclone Idia - Intense Tropical Cyclone Idai is regarded as one of the worst tropical cyclones on record to affect Africa and the Southern Hemisphere as a whole. The storm caused catastrophic damage in multiple nations, leaving more than 600 people dead and hundreds more missing. In a defiant statement on Wednesday night she told the British public: “I am on your side,” and now hopes to force her deal through parliament next week at the third time of asking. UPDATE: The EU has handed Theresa May two weeks’ grace to devise an alternative Brexit plan if her deal falls next week after the prime minister failed to convince the bloc that she was capable of avoiding a no-deal Brexit. BORRRING SHANE DAWSON - The first words many of us read on the internet this morning were from a man named Shane Dawson: "i didnt ... my cat." On Sunday night, when the YouTuber, who was behind the viral TanaCon and Jake Paul YouTube documentaries, delivered a lengthy Twitter screed in response to backlash he's receiving after unearthed audio from a now-deleted podcast episode. In the episode, Dawson, 30, describes a disturbing situation he claims to have shared with his cat, Cheeto. On Tuesday night, Shane Dawson announced that he is engaged to longtime boyfriend and fellow YouTuber Ryland Adams. Dawson proposed on the eve of their three-year anniversary, tweeting "HE SAID YES!!!!!! :,)))))" along with photos of the proposal.
