In this phase, some crucial seats went to the polls especially in southern and eastern India. But a crucial seat was the one in Srinagar. This is the first time that the people of Srinagar are voting since 2019 that is since the abrogation of article 370. Also, for the first time since 1996, the BJP hasn't fielded any candidate in Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir has a total of 5 Lok Sabha seats.
