These missiles, capable of carrying chemical or biological payloads, were being launched in an effort to provoke retaliation and fracture a coalition assembled by Kuwait. Operating deep behind enemy lines, Delta teams worked to locate and destroy Scud launchers hidden in the Iraqi desert, often using specialized vehicles and advanced surveillance equipment to track the elusive targets. Delta operators, alongside British SAS teams, utilized intelligence from satellites, drones, and local informants to pinpoint Scud sites. Once located, they coordinated with coalition air assets to destroy the launchers or directly engaged them using anti-tank weaponry. Despite the immense challenges of navigating hostile terrain and avoiding Iraqi patrols, Delta Force's Scud Hunters played a crucial role in mitigating the missile threat to Israel, thereby maintaining the integrity of the coalition.
