PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME IF I HAVE ANYTHING SPECIFIC. I'm currently in the process of getting 28 VHS tapes I've held on to digitized. I don't know what's on most of them, but they should mostly be stuff recorded from Canadian television between the 90's and mid 2000's. I plan on uploading commercial breaks and any potential lost media pieces. Apologies for missing the first few minutes. I remember I found out about this special literally minutes before it aired from CBC’s website so I had to grab a tape that had space and was ready to record. Patrick McKenna counts down the top ten Canadian television shows in a special celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Gemini Awards. This is the only mention I can find of this special https://www.cbc.ca/programguide/progr... For that reason I’m going to upload the whole thing and will timestamp where the commercials are. Duplicate commercials will be deleted. A copyright date at the end of the special says 2005 and Christmas ads are playing, so I’m guessing it aired towards the end of the year. Tons of Canadian shows are shown and lots of Canadian actors appear on this. Too many to list. There’s also a lot of footage from past Gemini Award shows. I don’t think that was my tape glitching out, I think that’s how it aired. 7:01 Listerine (two men dressed as a toothbrush and bottle of Listerine are working out at the gym) 7:16 Purell Hand Sanitizer (a kid at daycare wipes his nose on his hand and passes a ball to a little girl. MC Hammer’s “Can’t Touch this” plays) 7:31 Wal-Mart (a local Vancouver coach for teen boys hockey and something about giving to charity. Fuck Wal-Mart) 8:00 CBC’s The National (A law in America requiring passports at the border will mean big losses for both sides. Is America ready to back off security for cross border commerce? [HAHAHAHAHAHA… no, they aren’t]).
